50th Anniversary of the VCPG

In 2007, VCPG will be celebrating its 50th anniversary !
We have a number of special events scheduled throughout the year.

 

Please review the events below and add them to your calendar:


December 9th and 10th, 2006 - "Early" Kick-off for 50th Anniversary will be held at the Bell Arts Factory and will include a clay class for children, a reception with a silent auction, and a 2-day sale of member’s work.

Two exhibitions of juried member’s work to be held at:
o Ojai Art Center - March 4th to 29th, 2007
o Studio Channel Islands Art Center - May 5th to June 30th, 2007


Three workshops are currently scheduled:
o Archie Bray Potters - February 24th and 25th, 2007 At SBCC
o Gary Holt – April 14th and 5th, 2007 at Studio Channel Islands
o Patrick Horsley - September 22nd and 23rd, 2007 at Massarella Firehouse Pottery

Four sales are currently scheduled:
o Ventura Art Walk in front of the Ventura Art/History Museum - April 28, 1-6pm
o Ojai Music Festival - June 9-10, 9am - 6pm
o Ventura Art Walk at the water fountain across from the Mission on Main Street.
August 18 from 1-9pm
o 2nd Annual Sale at Bell Arts Factory -
December 1, 10am - 5pm and December 2, 10 am - 4pm

We will be honoring our history by recognizing our past presidents and lifetime members, creating a timeline of all we have accomplished in the last 50 years as an organization and submitting articles about our anniversary and organization to several national ceramic magazines as well as local publications.
